Dr. Deedra McGugin

Dr. Deedra McGugin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Denver. Her Master of Arts degree followed in Communication Disorders from Kansas State University, where she completed an externship in audiology at Irwin Army Community Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas. When audiology became a doctoring profession, she returned to school and obtained her Doctor of Audiology degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2005.
Her career journey followed that of her husband, an aerospace engineer, so she has practiced audiology in Denver, Colorado and Decatur, Alabama, which ultimately led her to Atlantic ENT with Dr. Widick, in 2005.
At Atlantic ENT, she specializes in diagnostic audiological evaluations, hearing aid evaluations, hearing aid fittings, and hearing aid repairs. The hearing aid industry is a technologically innovative and ever-changing area of hearing health care; therefore Dr. Deedra stays current on new technologies with regular manufacturer training sessions, and other continuing education courses.
Dr. Deedra has been an avid runner for many years, and also enjoys long walks, bike riding, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
